"Explore whimsical toy-like planters inspired by a meaningful tradition in Quepos, Costa Rica—a recycled material boat regatta. This creative journey began after witnessing a bag of trash drifting out to sea, sparking a mission to transform waste into purpose. The planters evolved from teaching elementary students to craft symbolic recycled material boats, racing them back to their origins as a statement against pollution. Together, they also built waste baskets to encourage proper disposal.
Each planter is crafted from recycled materials, including a repurposed plastic bottle with carefully cut holes to allow water to drain, ensuring both sustainability and functionality. These unique pieces are part of my personal collection, carrying the same spirit of transformation and environmental awareness, and I’d be thrilled to craft one just for you!
Stay tuned to my blog for updates on future regattas, insights into this ongoing project, and step-by-step instructions to create your own symbolic planter or boat. Sign up for my email list to join this journey and be part of a global wave of eco-conscious creativity."
Valued between $20 and $50, my toy-like planters can be customized to your specifications—incorporating your favorite business logo, team emblem, or country flag. Current designs include boats and a dragster, with plans to expand the collection to include a dump truck planter and a train pulling separate cars.
